The Canon cameras company was born in 1937, in Japan. Within a very short period of time, Canon has expanded its activities worldwide with sales offices, research & development centers and production sites which are now located around the world. Over time, Canon has successfully diversified its products and added to its traditional range of equipment others such as photocopiers, multifunction printers, and other multimedia products.
Today, the Canon Group has 330 subsidiaries around the world, employing more than 180,000 people.
In Europe, the Headquarters is located in London and Amstelveen. There are 28 marketing subsidiaries, with one in Paris (Canon France).
